A 30min. drive the the forest of Mervent Vouvant where you will be able to
hire bikes for a nice ride or stroll through one of the most important
forests of the Vendee.
40min. from the sea, in particular l'Aiguillon sur Mer where you can enjoy
a swim and fishing on foot.

You can discover the fishing ports (for example St Gilles Croix de
Vie) and marinas
and take advantage of the beautiful sunny, sandy
beaches of the Vendée.
The Marais Poitvin is 50mins. away. Where you can discover one of the
most humide areas of the region. In the heart of the marshes you will
be able to enjoy a trip by gondola along the Green Venice.

You will also have the possibility of surf casting the whole length of
the Vendée rocky coast, les Sables d'Olonne (Puy d'Enfer), the
Corniche Vendéenne (St Hilaire
de Riez), which is approximately 1 hour
away.
Our Domaine is situated 1 hour from La Rochelle. We highly recommend a visit
to this magnificent, historic town which was the headquarters to the German
U-boat during the war. Take a stroll through its beautiful arcades and
around its historical monuments and where a trip on the ocean is also to be
appreciated.

Also, 1 hour away is the Sables d'Olonne, the town hosting the Vendée Globe.
It has the most beautiful fine sandy beaches available to all from which any
nautical sport can be enjoyed.
